Licensing & activation

How do I activate a plugin?

Paste the key from your purchase email into the plugin's "Demo Mode" panel and click Activate. It verifies offline; full walkthrough on the activation page.

How many machines can I install on?

Every machine you personally use. Licenses are per person, not per computer, and there is no machine binding or deactivation step.

Where does my license live on disk?

In a small key file in your user app-data folder; the activation page lists the exact path per OS. Deleting it just returns the plugin to Demo Mode; paste your key again and it's back. Worth including in your backups.

Does activation work offline or on an air-gapped machine?

Yes, fully. The key is verified inside the plugin against a built-in public key. A studio machine that never touches the internet activates exactly the same way: paste, done.

Do the plugins connect to the internet?

No. Never. Licensing is verified locally inside the plugin; there is no account, no activation server, and no update checker. Updates are announced on the email list and this site.

Can I transfer or resell my license?

Licenses are personal and not transferable by default: the key is signed to your email address. For genuine cases, email support@rawsteraudio.com and we'll handle it individually.

What happens to my plugins if Rawster Audio disappears?

They keep working. Verification is local, so there is no server to shut down and no account to lose. Keep your key email and installers backed up and the plugins outlive us.

Buying, refunds & receipts

What is the refund policy?

14 days from purchase. Email support@rawsteraudio.com from your purchase address and the refund is processed by Lemon Squeezy, our merchant of record. The demo has no time limit, so you can also evaluate for as long as you like before buying.

Where is my license key?

It arrives by email within a few minutes of purchase, from {LICENSE_EMAIL_FROM}. Check spam if it hasn't landed. Lost it later? Email support from your purchase address and we'll re-send it; keys don't expire.

Do I need an invoice or VAT receipt?

Lemon Squeezy is the merchant of record and issues your receipt (including VAT handling) at purchase. Need a copy? The receipt email has a link, or ask support.

Are updates free?

Yes. Buy once, updates included.

The demo dips the volume. Is my install broken?

No, that is Demo Mode: a half-second output dip roughly every 45 seconds until a license is activated. Paste your key and it stops.

Compatibility

Does one license cover both Windows and macOS?

Yes. One license, all your machines, both platforms. Download whichever installers you need from the product page; the same key activates both.

Is there an AAX / Pro Tools build?

Not currently. The plugins ship as VST3 and AU.

Which DAWs are tested?

Reaper, Ableton Live, FL Studio, and Logic Pro, on every release. Other VST3/AU hosts generally work; if yours doesn't, that's a bug report we want.

Refunds

14 days, from the purchase date. Use the form below (topic: refund request) from the address you bought with; Lemon Squeezy (the merchant of record) executes the refund to your original payment method. Since the demo is the full plugin with no time limit, we'd rather you try before buying, but the window is there either way.
